The background

By utilising Adobe Commerce we created a new platform to help Unipart better service both their B2C customers and their partnering garages.

Unipart Autoparts is a global distributor of car, van and trailer parts and specialises in production, logistics, and consultancy. Unipart Autoparts is part of the Unipart Group, with over 10000 employees and revenue of over £1 billion, it’s one of the biggest privately owned companies in this sector.

Thanks to the flexibility and extensibility of Adobe Commerce, Unipart now has an online platform with a unique and bespoke functionality. Car owners can book service appointments simply by entering their registration number and post code and can then select a garage nearby to their location. This allows Unipart to directly cater to B2C customers and at the same time drive business towards their local service partners (garages). Garages can access all product data, appointments and invoices directly through the platform.

Magento platform

This new platform opens up an entirely new world for garages: new business, a gigantic database and unlimited knowledge all now at their fingertips. This is all made possible thanks to the smart integration to their ERP-system SAP. To be able to keep up with the demands of their increasing mobile use base, the website is fully responsive, with a mobile first design approach. Unipart Autoparts can now optimally service their B2C clients and their partnering garages now and in the future.

Smarter search

Simply by entering the registration number this returns the exact vehicle make and model. Substantial volumes of product data are mapped and integrated into the search facility. Personalised and streamlined search with sophisticated search filters, reduces search time, improves accuracy and guarantees the ordered parts are the correct ones.

The results

Uniparts new Adobe Commerce solution delivers a vastly improved user experience, provides their end-users with quick and accurate spare part results, but most of all has created the opportunity to drive business to local partner garages, which has revolutionised the way Unipart, the garages and their end-users interact - a first for the automotive industry.

Launch Site

"Before, our product database wasn’t linked with the garages management system. With the new website it is, so garage owners can easily search parts, have a look at the available stock and spread out their ordering throughout the day."
